Yogurtland opens Compton store

Following a citywide local hiring mandate introduced by Mayor Aja Brown and supported by the City Council, Yogurtland has so far hired six Compton residents out of 12 employees.

New business surge equals more choice for consumers and more Compton jobs; Yogurtland adds six Compton residents to staff

COMPTON – Yogurtland, the ever-popular quickly expanding self-serve frozen yogurt pioneer, celebrated its grand opening here, Saturday, Mar. 19 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 12:30 p.m. followed by free yogurt, toppings, family entertainment and prizes.

Located at 255 E Compton Blvd, Compton, CA 90220 [MAP] in the Renaissance Plaza next to Chase Bank in downtown Compton, Yogurtland’s grand opening festivities included free frozen yogurt and toppings.

Additional activities through Thursday, March 24 will include:

· Mar. 20 – Balloon artist, giveaways starting at 1 p.m.

· Mar. 21 – $5 unlimited cup (8oz. cup) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

· Mar. 22 – Free cooler bag with purchase and kids eat free

· Mar. 23 – Prize wheel and giveaways from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

· Mar. 24 – Buy one, get one free from 7 p.m. to close
