In Focus California debuts Sept. 24 with In Focus California: SoCal
NEW YORK, NY (MNS) – Spectrum Networks will launch two new public affairs shows dedicated to issues in communities throughout Southern California – In Focus California: SoCal, and In Focus California: In Your Community, on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 8 a.m.
The weekly shows will delve into a range of issues of importance to Californians – from state to local – through informative conversations with policy makers, political influencers and community leaders.
In Focus California: SoCal will feature viewpoints from a roundtable of newsmakers on one local or statewide topic that impacts Southern California residents. The debut episode will cover homelessness.
Veteran news anchor Renee Eng, host, will be joined in studio by guests Richard Corral, Board president of the San Gabriel Valley Consortium on Homelessness, and Los Angeles City Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson.
In Focus California: In Your Community will air two episodes weekly, each focusing on one community and the hyper-local issues that directly impact its residents and businesses. In each show, Eng will visit with residents, local lawmakers, business leaders, and area influencers to learn first-hand the issues of importance to their neighborhood.
On Monday, Sept. 25, In Focus California: In Your Community will cover a day in the life of L.A. Councilman Herb Wesson in South L.A., and Tuesday’s show will tackle homelessness with Assemblymember Miguel Santiago in Downtown L.A.
In Focus California will air exclusively on Spectrum Community channels 84 and 214. All times are Pacific Standard Time.
