COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Christopher Clarkston, Jr., son of Christopher Clarkston of Compton, has enrolled at Saint John’s University for the 2016-17 academic year. Clarkson, 18, was recruited on an athletic football scholarship and is a freshman offensive lineman, No. 78, listed on the roster at 6-1, 285 pounds from Compton, Calif. He attended Verbum Dei High School.

Classes for fall semester began on Aug. 29, 2016.

Nicked the Johnnies, SJU, and its academic partner, the College of Saint Benedict, are both ranked in the top 50 in the third annual Money Magazine;s “Best Colleges for Your Money.” SJU was ranked No. 25 and CSB ranked No. 47 and both are the top-rated schools in Minnesota.

Money also assembled several additional lists that highlighted the two schools. Saint John’s was ranked No. 3 and CSB No. 11 among the 50 best Liberal Arts Colleges in the nation. SJU was ranked No. 8 and CSB ranked No. 21 among the 50 Most Affordable Colleges in the nation.
