Public Safety Building ribbon cutting ceremony prior to meeting at 3 p.m.

COMPTON — The public is invited to the Compton Community College District (CCCD) Board Meeting at 5 p.m. and Community Forum at 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in the Little Theater, located at 1111 E. Artesia B;vd, Compton.

The forum is open to students, faculty, staff and the community. Topics to be covered include updates on accreditation, facilities, academic affairs, classes for the fall semester, the Compton College Oliver W. Conner College Promise program, and data about Compton College from the annual Fact Book. There will also be a Q&A session.

Prior to the CCCD Board meeting, a 3 p.m. ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Public Safety Building will occur at the Artesia boulevard entrance to Compton College. The schedule is as follows: Public Safety Building Ribbon Cutting, 3 p.m.; Closed Session, 4 p.m.; Regular Board Meeting, 5 p.m.; and Community Forum, 6 p.m.

All regular session Board meetings are open to the public. The Board Agenda is posted 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Agendas are posted on the BoardDocs website under the “Meetings” tab at http://www.boarddocs.com/ca/compton/Board.nsf/Public

Free parking will be available in Lot A off of Artesia Boulevard.
