In Memoriam: Ilene C. Taylor (1919 – 2018)

The graveside service is Friday, March 2, 2018, 12 p.m., at the Green Hills Memorial Park in Los Angeles, Calif.

Ilene C. Taylor, 98, of Olney, formerly of Flora, Ill. and Los Angeles, Calif., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at her residence

Ilene C. Taylor was born on Nov. 25, 1919, in Flora, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Clement) Colclasure. She married George Taylor in Henderson, Ky. He preceded her in death on September 17, 1985.

Ilene sold Avon for 45 years and was a seamstress for Cher. She worked in retail stores in the Los Angeles, Calif. area, participated in war work during WWII, and she loved to travel. She had a love for dogs and enjoyed the company of her Dalmatian, Tony. Ilene had a strong faith in the Lord and was a devoted Christian. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.

Ilene is survived by her sister, Patsy Lorene Ritter of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorials can be made to the Master’s Hands.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Green Hills Memorial Park in Los Angeles, Calif.
