Emolument. It’s a word that a lot of people have been using lately, but what does it mean? In 1787, our founding fathers came together in Philadelphia to draft the United States Constitution. At the time, it was a common practice for the King of England and other heads of state to bestow gifts on foreign diplomats

Rep. Karen Bass addressed the issue of Emolument this week as it relates to the considerable business interests of President-elect Donald Trump and the conflicts of interest of the office. Bass represents the 37th Congressional District in California.
