Compton Dominguez alums sign NFL free agent contracts

COMPTON — Three college football players who attended Compton Dominguez High School have been picked up by NFL teams.

University of Washington‘s Brandon Beaver, a defensive back signed with the Arizona Cardinals; University of Southern California wide receiver De’Quan Hampton signed with the Detroit Lions, and San Diego State University‘s Malik Smith, who was a safety for the Aztecs, was picked up by the Houston Texans.

“It is a very exciting Monday, indeed,” said Jason Miller, Dominguez Athletic Director. To him, the most important fact of this story is that all three men are also college graduates.
