Mayor Aja Brown, NBA All-Star Baron Davis, and hip- hop artist YG bring cheer in Christmas Winter Wonderland to Compton

COMPTON – Following the success of last year’s Christmas Parade, Mayor Aja Brown and the City Council brought Christmas cheer to Compton at Wilson Park, Saturday.

NBA All-Star Baron Davis and his Black Santa Company, and hip-hop artist YG and his 4Hundred Waze Foundation fused their magic with the mayor and council to unveil a Christmas Winter Wonderland and Toy Giveaway to the delight of the city and its children.

Brown, Davis, YG, Councilmember Isaac Galvan all pitched in to hand out toys and wrapped gifts to thousands of eager, expectant kids. YG also gave a surprise performance at the toy giveaway, which also served as the launch for Baron Davis’ Black Santa Company, which will introduce new characters compelling diverse stories. More than 1,000 toys in addition to lots of food, were distributed to Compton children and families.

The 2016 Compton Christmas Winter Wonderland was sponsored in part by Walmart, Republic Services, Fiesta Taxi, MadMac Foundation, Prism Realty, 7-Eleven, 93.5 KDAY, and Power 106.
